Position Summary

Candidate should live in the greater Pittsburgh area as this is a hybrid position. Design, maintain, administer, and audit corporate IT networks and/or systems including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, security, backups, and software as required to attain and maintain compliance standards

Essential Functions

  • Design, implement, maintain, administer, and audit IT systems that store and support working with restricted information (e.g., CUI, ITAR, and/or EAR related data)
  • Install and maintain a wide range of software products including operating systems, office productivity suites, antivirus, browsers, etc
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, audit information security processes, and procedures filing incident reports as needed
  • Assist with developing and implementing security awareness & training programs for the corporate employees
  • Manage relationships and engagements with third party assessors/auditors
  • Design, implement, and administer server and network infrastructure components as they pertain to ongoing compliance needs
  • Prepare documentation regarding applicable work and instructions for internal/external stakeholders
  • Pursue training and development opportunities to continuously build and share knowledge and skills
  • Enable efficient and secure access to enterprise data and IT systems/software 

Additional Duties

  • Address escalated support/production cases
  • Travel to external sites as needed
  • Interface with third-party contacts for troubleshooting assistance
  • Assist with managing new/leaving employee procedures
  • As assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, cloud and on premise virtualization platform/infrastructure, cloud storage, cloud identity access management and control, layer 2/3 networking, firewall management, and secure/encrypted communication protocols 
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration is preferred but not required
  • Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university required; Bachelors Degree preferred; Major or concentration in Information Technology/Systems/Science preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a manufacturing or high tech environment
  • At least three years of Cyber Security or System Administration (or related) experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Aerotech does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time
  • Will be required to work with and visit other employees frequently
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
