We are specialists in surface metrology equipment and processes. We are looking for people to join our team to help us grow the success we have already achieved and to bring our products to a larger customer base. 

Our customer base consists of globally recognized technology companies, manufacturing firms and researchers. Our sales team works with a diverse customer base spanning semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, aerospace and defense companies, medical device manufacturers, and leading research institutions among others.

Position Summary

This position is with Peak Metrology, which is one of Aerotech's satellite companies. We are currently hiring for the leader of our sales and business development efforts. This role will manage our existing global sales teams, channels and initiatives. This role will also strategize and lead various business development initiatives to continue our company’s growth. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Work with company leadership to align sales and business development strategies with the company’s vision and product development roadmap
  • Develop and execute initiatives that help us drive towards company growth goals
  • Lead, manage, and coach our global sales team and channels to achieve annual revenue targets
  • Manage the performance, output, and growth of direct reports
  • Hire, onboard, and train new employees in the sales department
  • Model value selling, always strive to extract best possible pricing 
  • Set and manage the team’s sales targets, KPI’s, and goals required to meet our annual targets
  • Take accountability for meeting annual sales goals through securing customer orders
  • Provide meaningful customer insights to other department stakeholders. Act as the voice of the customer 
  • Monitor our market and competitors and disseminate this information to all necessary departments
  • Frequently travel to customers and partners to help the sales team sell and grow our business
  • Manage the CRM’s usage, accuracy, and integrity

Additional Duties

  • Assist in negotiating Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Customer Credit Terms
  • Liaise between customer and factory to aid in communications
  • Contribute to the planning of new products and product lines
  • As assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or a bachelor degree in business from an accredited college or university. Technical degree (engineering) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in capital equipment sales with at least 5 years of management experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Metrology or measurement capital equipment experience is highly preferred. At a minimum a sales background in high value capital equipment. 
  • Able to travel 30-50% of the time, domestically as well as internationally
  • Located in the US. Preference is local to our facility in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Peak Metrology does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time
  • Frequent travel both domestically and internationally, is required
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
