Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Operations Manager to join our team at Aerotech, a leader in Motion Control and Automation Solutions. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing our sales effectiveness and driving revenue growth. You will oversee the sales operations function, streamline processes, and provide data-driven insights to support our sales team.

Essential Functions

  • Manage CRM systems and other tools, ensuring data integrity and providing training for the sales team and other relevant teams as needed.
  • Identify and drive automation and process improvements to enhance overall sales productivity.
  • Generate and analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee requests from the sales team regarding modifications or updates to operations. This involves evaluating each request to determine its validity and alignment with the overall goals and best interests of the operation.
  • Refine and periodically update sales processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Refine and oversee the onboarding sales training program for new employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, technical support, business development and product management, to align sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation and management of the annual sales budget 
  • Support the sales team with forecasting, territory management, and pipeline development.
  • Create and deliver reports and dashboards for leadership to inform strategic decision-making
  • Supervise the team of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), ensuring a thorough understanding of the processes they are responsible for executing. 
Additional Duties
  • Recognize, develop, and implement process improvements within the sales organization
  • Update processes and best practices for groups performing similar functions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the skills and performance of current sales team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with CRM administration, preferably Hubspot
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor 
  • Able to communicate with people at all levels of an organization; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend high-level sales strategies, convert them into system and process requirements, and ensure effective local implementation to achieve business results.
  • Experience with a formal sales process 
  • Experience in a sales enablement or training role 
  • Strong presentation and content-development skills
  • Ability to organize and self-manage workload around defined project milestones 
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Products
  • Good organization skills; focused on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5 years of related experience and/or training, preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Ability to travel occasionally, short-term, domestically, and internationally
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Aerotech does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future.

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment
  • May be required to sit for extended periods
  • Will be required to work with other employees and customers frequently
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
